Competitiveness, Training and Trade
Labour and Immigration
An Information Specialist works for these four departments and offers
a variety of front-line and referral services. Examples of these services
include:
- Birth, marriage and death certificate applications
- Business counselling
- Business Name reservation and registration
- Commissioner for Oaths and Limited Notary Public services
- Drinking water sample collection
- Employment Standards
- Fishing and hunting regulations
- Immigration and Multiculturalism
- Manitoba Health Card application form
- Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Skilled Workers and for Entrepreneurs
- Provincial park information
- Workplace Health and Safety
Competitiveness, Training and Trade
A representative from Employment and Training Services is available every
Wednesday, by appointment, at the Centre.
Manitoba Healthy Living, Youth and Seniors

Family Services and Housing
The following divisions have staff assigned to the Red River Region Centre:

Intergovernmental Affairs
A Regional Emergency Officer from Manitoba Emergency Measures
Organisation works out of the Centre. An appointment is recommended.
Justice
A generalist from Justice Manitoba works at the Centre on an itinerant basis. The
Centre is also host to a circuit court the fourth Tuesday of every month.
Manitoba Public Insurance
Driver Vehicle and Licensing conducts testing of drivers three out of
every four Fridays at the Centre. An appointment is required through Manitoba
Public Insurance.
Manitoba Youth Job Centre
During the summer, the Centre is host to the Manitoba Youth Job Centre.
This Centre connects students looking for summer jobs with employers wanting
to fill part-time or seasonal positions. General Information – Government of Manitoba We also have general information from the Government of Manitoba: everything
from Travel Manitoba tourist information, career possibilities within the government,
training and information sessions, to pamphlets and forms from various provincial
government departments. The Information Specialist or the Receptionist can help
you find this information.

Canada-Manitoba
Business Service Centre 
The Canada-Manitoba Business Service Centre was founded within the framework
of a partnership between the Government of Canada and the Government of
Manitoba. They deliver services in Manitoba on behalf of 38 federal government
departments and organizations, 13 provincial government departments and
five private sector partners, such as the Chamber of Commerce.
The regional offices of the Canada-Manitoba Business Service Centre located
within the Bilingual Service Centres offer a reference library, free publications,
a variety of forms and the services of a consultant by appointment.

Employment and Resource Centre (CERC) 
Our bilingual employment centre offers direction, assistance and opportunities
to the residents of Southeastern Manitoba to access the skills and resources
necessary to achieve meaningful employment and success within the workforce.

Réseau communautaire
(RC)
Since 1993, the Réseau communautaire has helped bring into being
projects that promote the French language and culture in nearly 30 Francophone
communities.
The Réseau communautaire agent is your best source for regional
information. She can provide invaluable assistance in the following areas:
- Community Project Planning
- Team Building and Meeting Organisation
- Locating funding
- Preparing grant applications
- Liaison to help create partnerships

Public Access Computers

Public access computers are provided by the Community Access Program for
the general public. Public access computers can be used to surf
the Internet, create documents like résumés, check emails,
